This is a family friendly campsite. Train runs different time but unavoidable because the train runs by all of salmon arm no horn like other camp grounds. Staff is friendly and the owners are great people, especially trying to better what they can. Free WiFi but not sure why people care cause there out camping and suppose to be on vacation. Security is nice and friendly and nice to see he walks around and helpful. Beach is nice and the dog beach is great. Children run around but there making new friends with other kids and have tons of fun. Seasonal do have stuff on there sites but has nothing to do with other campers cause most stay most of the summer don't let this bother you. I would stay all summer great place. If u complain bout this place then u did not do any research. Its a campsite prices for showers, food and anything else better then most and if u don't like it spend money on gas to go get food instead of complainting.

My boyfriend and I had a great experience here. They were kind enough to accommodate us last minute and made sure we had everything we needed to get settled. Our campsite was really close to the beach and was relatively private. There was a train that drove by every 30 minutes or so but it didn't bother us. Washrooms were nice and clean but you do have to pay to shower. Overall, it was a great little stay.

This is the worst campground that we have been at since we started camping in May 2012. The most disappointing part of the stay was the fact they gave away our campsite that we booked on April 25 for the Canada Day long weekend (which was a good, flat and wide site). The site we got was next to a huge tree and the root system was protruding the ground so much only 2/3 of the site was usable, unless you wanted the trailer to be tilted on a 20 degree angle. The campground feels like a scrapyard with a whole lot of trailers crammed in amongst it. The seasonal sites have way too much personal items around and the structures are not that pleasant looking. There was so many boat trailers parked across the opposite side of the sites that it made it nearly impossible to get in and out of the site with your trailer. We had to drive down into the campground towards the boat launch and back up to turn around and then head out cause of the congestion. And then there's the TRAIN, I knew about the train prior to booking but I didn't realize the frequency of it and the vibration through the ground doesn't help to make it feel less of an annoyance. Also beware of what site you book, cause if its next to a seasonal it may be a senior's retirement spot and you won't be able to turn on music outside of the trailer (even in the afternoon) without being asked if its necessary. We decided to make a joke about it, "Turn down the music because we can't hear the train!" The weather was great and the lake was warm, but the $5 bags of ice made it expensive to keep the coolers filled. Personally, I would not recommend this campground to anyone, even if its 'economical' as suggested in another post here. One star because that's the minimum choice!

If you are looking for some quality time on the beach, this is the place. The water is warm, the swimming is great and there is easy access to the beach. The dog beach is perfect for the furry friends! The sites are very small and there is little to no privacy, but if you're at the beach, then no worries! There are many trains that pass by, but again, if you're at the beach, who cares?! Don't come here if you are looking for peace and quiet. Do come here if you want some fun times with family and friends.
